Front office staff was rude and not patient. The doctor was pushy on vaccines and she ended my son's appointment by saying goodbye. Thank you to him. I had stepped out of the room to take a call when I came back. She was gone, nowhere for me to find her, to ask questions or leave comments. So she left without saying goodbye to the parents.

Dr. Gonzalez was very kind and attentive to my concerns. She answered all of my daughter's questions as well and made her feel very comfortable.

Dr Gonzalez did a great job at taking time to speak to my daughter about her health and educate her in ways that she could take care of herself, like explaining self breast exams, checked in on mental health and getting rest. However, I am uncomfortable with the approach of focusing on weight. My daughter is at a healthy weight, yet the doctor had to spend time to point out where she falls on a weight chart and warned her not to gain any weight. When you look at my daughter, she is fine, not over or underweight. This is triggering for me, because I was the same size as my daughter at her age, my doctor said the same to me, and it started an eating disorder and a very unhealthy relationship with food. I respect the need to discuss healthy eating and emphasizing the importance of nutrition. But rigid rules such as excerisizing 1 hour a day in addition to PE and not eating certain foods more than once a week is not always helpful. Especially when a child is already struggling with anxiety. This is the age when eating disorders start, and I hope that all of your doctors can approach this subject with some sensitivity.

She tried to guilt trip me into getting my daughter (6) a flu shot after I politely declined. She "gave me facts" about why to get the shot after I declined but they were morbid and distasteful to discuss in front of a 6 year old who is already nervous about going to the doctor as it is. The conversation should have stopped right when I said no.

In my personal experience, I love this Whittier location much more than Downey. I feel that the Whittier location's staff is much more professional and attentive. Because it's less crowded, they truly pay attention to my child and remember my child and I love that. Dr. Sylvia Gonzalez is very kind, playful and professional with both my children and myself. I love it here!

The staff were all very patient with my child, who has a fear of the doctor and shots. They were professional, kind, and connected very well with my child to make her visit as comfortable as possible.

We had such a wonderful experience with Dr. Sylvia! She was incredibly patient, kind, and gentle with my daughter. My little one even brought her baby doll to the visit, and Dr. Sylvia took the time to "check up" on the doll first to show what she was going to do, such a thoughtful gesture that made my daughter feel so comfortable and at ease. She truly listened to all my concerns, answered every question thoroughly, and made us both feel cared for. I'm so grateful for the positive experience!

Very disappointed with the doctor. In the beginning of this year the doctor had incorrectly given a referral to my eldest child that was meant for my youngest child. I called the office and was told the issue was resolved and the referral was switched to the correct child. On top of giving the wrong referral it was the incorrect place that could not help my child's needs. Fast forward to a recent appointment for my eldest child the doctor proceeded to ask how did the referral go? Confused at the situation thinking this was resolved. The doctor never removed the incorrect referral when everything unfolded. The referral was never removed from my child's profile, she proceeded to brush it off and move on from the mistake and did not take responsibility at the recent appointment. I also felt uncomfortable when I said no to a flu vaccine. I expressed me wanting to do more research on it, especially having a child with special needs and given the experience I've had with my child's immunization chart being overly vaccinated. Another issue, that we are all trying to get to the bottom of.

During the appointment, I felt that my concerns about my 11-year-old daughter were not fully heard or addressed. It seemed that our specific needs and questions were overlooked, this experience was disappointing. Will not be coming back with this provider. I will schedule another appointment with my child's regular pediatrician at La Mirada pediatric office.

The doctor was amazing. She was personable, caring, and considerate.

My daughter is non-verbal (Autistic), and she is very challenging as a patient. I really appreciate that the group (nurses and doctors) does everything they can with her and are very accommodating to her due to her anxiety and her non-cooperation.

This was my daughter's first appointment with Dr. Gonzalez, and I can say it went pretty well. She listened to my daughter's concerns while giving her tips and advice. She made my daughter comfortable.

All was great except for scheduler. Staff on phone verbally confirmed appointment for 2pm. Appointment text message reminder the day before stated appointment was at 10 am. Very inconvenient confusing and upsetting.

Waited 30 mins past the appt time to be seen with no apologies for the delay from the provider. Happens every time we visit. Will be switching soon.

All good. The wait in the exam room was a little long. But, the Doctor is really good and kind with my daughter. She is sensitive, and can tell when my daughter is unsure about something, even if she doesn't say so. Even if mt kidnis being shy about asking, the doc will see her confused look and will elaborate. I am really glad we found this Doctor. Her manner is exceptional, especially for a girl becoming an adult.

Waiting an hour for a scheduled appointment for a literal newborn is ridiculous. PIH needs go get proper staffing to support their pediatricians.

i paid $25 for nothing. and lord knows how much you guys will charge my insurance on top of that. will definitely be looking at changing my family out of pih.

As a new parent it is fine if we can disagree with vaccines. We are not antivaxers but rather weigh our options and get educated about it without feeling like we have to because the CDC says so.

I originally had an appointment for my son, but right before going to the doctor's office, my daughter stubbed her toe and we thought she broke it because it turned purple. As soon as we went to the doctor's, they made room for her, getting her in right away to make sure she was okay. I really appreciate the care.

The nurse that was helping, Sylvia Gonzalez, that gave my son a shot. My son is worried about shots. She made it very comfortable for him, very easy, and eased her way into giving him the shot. So I greatly appreciate Sylvia Gonzalez, his nurse, that did assist (PHI removed) about this that day. Made him very comfortable. She made him very comfortable, explained everything, both of them, and I greatly appreciated the experience. Thank you. Great.

She was absolutely amazing during my daughter's physical. She took her time, truly listened to our concerns, and never made us feel rushed or dismissed. Her examination was extremely thorough, and she explained everything she was doing and why. It's rare to find a doctor who is both detail-oriented and compassionate, but she genuinely cares about her patients. This was by far the best experience we've had with a doctor, and we are so grateful for her care.
