We made a mistake. We definitely, that was not a one, that was a ten. We are totally satisfied with him. He was very patient, he listened, he gave us good advice and we would recommend this provider to all our friends and family. We were more than satisfied.

Every time I go to this office, I wait at least 45 minutes to an hour before I see the doctor. I think that's totally unacceptable. He's the only physician I go to out of maybe six that I go to there, and I always wait for him, which is not appropriate. So he needs help scheduling his visit or reducing the number of patients. I don't know what the problem is, but I don't like waiting for him. Thank you.

Dr. Nayak and his staff are very professional. Dr. Nayak took a lot of time with me, explained what was going on with my heart, and found out there was a problem and prescribed medicine which is healthy. I would absolutely recommend him to anybody.

The only thing I would suggest is that the video they showed me was also in Spanish; it was only in English. Dr. Nayak is exceptional in every way! I have been hearing about how wonderful he is for the past 10 years as he has cared for my dad in the best way possible. From the second the Dr. entered the room, I felt safe and in the best hands possible. Dr. Nayak was helping my very anxious mind, and I was just so nervous in general. Dr Nayak has treated me like someone who has lived a full life and who is lucky to still be here without much effort to listen to my concerns or help me to live a better quality of life. He has said many times that any time I've had past 90 is gravy. Just like the recent visit, he called me in to discuss my labs and never went over them. My condition worsened after leaving yesterday and required medical intervention at a different hospital, PIH has been disappointing and the hospital is even worse, I'd get better treatment from a veterinary dr and hospital.

As usual the Drs don't have enough time to spend with you. They're on a time limit. I had one Dr that looked at his watch and walked out of the exam room and didn.t come back right in the middle of talking to me. I felt the Dr didn't take enough time to really listen to my heartbeat or my breathing, just kind of skimmed over my chest and back.

Dr Nayak is an incredibly amazing cardiologist.

My mother is a patient of Dr. Nayak. She is 93 years old. I have worked in the hospital setting for 42 years and worked with hundreds of doctors. I have to say that Dr. Nayak is the most amazing compassionate doctor I've ever encountered he listens to the patient. He encourages and explains. He shares a lot of information. Cardiology is very difficult for a family to understand so when I take my mother, he explains options and reasons for his treatment plan when my mother was in the hospital and needed open-heart surgery she declined, and he was very thorough and patient and explaining his reasons The risk and the outcome. I would definitely recommend Dr. Nayak. I think the hospital should recognize him as a great great part of the PIH family. I am also a member of the PIH family for the past 17 years so I am familiar with many PIH doctors, but I have to say he is at the top of the list way to go Dr Nayak you make a difference and you are a blessing too many lives in our community.

My first visit to Dr. Nayak's office was excellent. He and his staff were caring and answered all my questions in a helpful, professional manner. I trust him to give me the best treatment possible.

The support staff in the cardiology department at the Wells Building is excellent. They are cooperative, helpful, smart, nice. I have a suggestion for you. Have the staff from cardiology on floor two give training lessons to the staff on floor four in orthopedics. There's an order of magnitude difference between them. Oh well. That's my observation because I've experienced both numerous times. Thank you.

My father's illness is terminal, and I have noticed Dr. Nayak little by little not giving a damn anymore. Our appointment was at 9:15 AM. We weren't seen until 10:45 AM. Dr. Nayak came in didn't apologize for being late spent almost 1 minute just added one more medication for my father's heart condition and ran out. I am in the process of looking for a new cardiologist very disappointing.

The only issue was having to wait for over an hour beyond our appointment time but the office was really really busy I've never seen it that packed before so it really wasn't their fault

Always a good visit

This was my first visit with Dr. Nayak. Previously, I had been with Dr. (name removed), but he changed offices. I was very pleased with my meeting with Dr. Nayak. He has a very nice "bedside manner". He answered all of my questions thoroughly and genuinely seemed interested in my care.

I love and have always loved the attention they give at Dr. Nayak's office. I think it's fantastic, and all the staff are so kind. The thing is, Dr. Nayak is very busy; he doesn't have time to give each of us what we want. But I would like him to give me more attention because the day I went, I was in the recovery period from open-heart surgery. So I wanted him to explain what might happen to me before or after. And unfortunately, there's no opportunity because he's so busy. I understand that. But he's a very valuable person. Thank you very much.

Yes, Dr. Nayak is a good doctor and he's been my husband's doctor for many, many years. Unfortunately, the last three or four visits, we've waited like over 45 minutes for him to come into the wait, into our room, the room where he sees the patients. And I don't blame him. Maybe he's busy, but it's been consistent. So maybe you can do something about it. Thank you.

First the parking is horrible if you are going to charge for parking make sure there is available parking for all paying patients!! Second the wait time is horrible I had an appt at 3.30pm did not get Seen until 5pm 1 1.2 hr wait!!??? This is ridiculous. I was late to pick up my kids from daycare. You guys need to start doing better. I used to love PIH, but now It's going down the drain. The only reason I stick around because I love the doctors. They are amazing and wonderful persons.

I was surprised that due to my husbands diagnosis that a Cardiologist he was not seen while in PIH, ICU overflow. I did finally get an emergency referral from our Primary, Dr. M. (name removed). I immediately called the office to see if my husband could be seen ASAP. Thankfully Dr. Nayak had an opening that day before leaving on his vacation. I was also informed the doctors in that office do not share patients. So if he hadn't been able to be seen he would have had to wait until November upon Dr. Nayak's return from vacation. I feel that is a dangerous policy. My husband had not seen Dr. Nayak for 2 years and due to his diagnosis he could have had serious complications. I know that there are 2 new physicians working in that office.

He is an awesome heart specialist and he is so understanding and cares and I like his way of treating me when I've been in his care and I like it too because he gives me an A plus. Every time I go in there, he says, well, I'm going to give you an A plus today, Loretta. I go, OK, doctor. He says, because you're looking good. Everything is great. And he is very, very, very nice. I really like him. I always brag about him. I told him the other day. I always brag about you, doctor. So you take care and God bless. Thank you. And all his patients, all his workers, too. I gave them a compliment and tell them that they seem like they're all happy there.

I cannot praise the PIH community enough ?? I love the staff , Dr Nayak and all the hospital staff as well. This Whittier location is #1 in my book. We have been here a lot in the last 3 years due to my husbands health issues. We live in Covina and do not hesitate to drive all the way to Whittier for all our doctors: Primary, Cardiologist, Dermatology, Rheumatologist, Orthopedics, and Lab??

I just want to say that everything went very well. I'm very happy with my doctor and all his assistants. And he's one of my favorite doctors. I've been with him for 20 or 21 years, and I wouldn't trade them for anything. Thank you.

I arrived 15 minutes ahead of my appointment at 10am. I wasn't called into the medical room until 10:20, but there were 2 patients who came in AFTER 10am who were seen before me. The doctor looked in and said he would be with me shortly at 10:30, but did not see me until after 11am. The visit was for 15 minutes. I left the office at 11:30, 1-1/2 hours after my appointment was scheduled. Not good at all.

Great bedside manner. Loved the doctor.

Tried to schedule a cardiac Echo. Told 9/29/25 was the earliest. Called the next day and tried to reschedule for a sooner date. Was told they were scheduling out three months, no Echo tech on staff for July. One of Dr. Nyack's schedulers became annoyed with my questions and hung up. PIH needs to consider outsourcing simple tests.

PIH in general seems to be getting worse and worse. First off, we can never get hold of anyone in person and if we do, it's after like 1 hour on hold. The other thing, we can never get appointments in a decent time. The earliest appointments are usually about 4 months out or close to a year. One doctor didn't even want to see me until I made an appointment with my primary doctor even though I have a PPO insurance to see any doctor without a referral. Also, we are always told to get there about 15 minutes before the appointment time which is fine, but then we wait 30 minutes to an hour in lobby, then another 30 minutes to an hour for the doctor to finally come in. Then its just a quick visit while they just type away on the computer. So, I just feel PIH is losing the attention and care it used to provide. Seems all the front office staff are lacking more and more training and customer care, they seem to not care, they brush you off and you have to keep after them. The system to get hold of a doctor, get something answered or take care of, or getting an appointment is going down quickly. To top it off, you guys getting hacked and taking months to get back in business was ridiculous. I work in IT and if our system got hacked and it took that long to get back online, it would be our heads. So, you guys need to get back to patient care. You guys are growing very quickly, but you are forgetting why you are growing which is us, your patients. Keep your focus on us.

I first met Dr. Nayak back in 2007 when he performed a cardiac procedure on my Husband, and we were both very pleased by his care & wisdom, and when needed I also became his patient. Okay, so good evening. It is now 6 o'clock. My name is (PHI removed). Dr. Nayak is my cardiologist and I wouldn't have it any other way. He takes care of me very well. I have a couple of upcoming tests like echo or EKG coming up August the 4th. He seems very concerned about my heart and I'm in good hands, that's what I know. So I'm well taken care of. I'm on vacation right now but I will see him soon. Okay, so God bless you all. Thank you for taking care of me. And PIH is such an awesome hospital. What would I be without you guys? Dr. Nayak is a caring and thorough doctor. His listening makes it very easy to tell him all my concerns and he responds effectively. The staff are all very friendly and accommodating. A pleasure to go to my appts.

I found the staff very friendly. It was a very comfortable appointment with the staff before I saw the doctor. The doctor and I talked and he did listen to me and ask me questions and I asked him questions and I felt that his answers were very forthcoming. I felt comfortable with him and if I had any additional questions I asked him. And like I said, he took the time to listen to me and to give me an answer that I could accept. If I didn't understand him, I asked him again or tried to clear up what I didn't understand and he was very helpful. And I have found this to be true every time I've gone to keep an appointment with him.

I was very pleased with the doctor. He took the time. He was explaining. Everything was wonderful. But I do think that they can improve on making the appointments and I think that would be helpful to the patients. Thank you.

Dr. Nayak was very informative and answered all my questions. My son was with me, answered all of his questions and kept asking us, is there anything else that I can answer for you? Let's talk about whatever you can talk about. So the appointment was very productive and I really liked him a lot.

The provider that I went to see on that day only spent about 30 seconds with me. And I was referred by my regular physician because I have a CAT scan and I have scarring on my heart. So, he spent no time with me. He was about 45 minutes to an hour late. I would not recommend this provider to anybody.
