Dr. Boon was great!

As always, we were treated with all the courtesy and it's like very comfortable going to that office. Dr. Boone spends all the time that could possibly be required. He listened to everything. He answered all our questions and he made recommendations for problems we thought we had. We were 100% satisfied with him and it's always a pleasure going into that office because the staff are friendly and pleasant and professional. So 100% to him and his staff.

I want to mark the NO spot for the last two questions. Dr. Boon is so booked that the next appointment I can get is 6 months out. This is not the way it should be. Get this office some additional help.

I forgot to ask Doctor about a rash I have. Otherwise I was very impressed with his care and professionalism.

My doctor is very knowledgeable and sincere about my well-being. He is trustworthy and easy to understand.

Yes, this is (PHI removed) and like I said to the doctors that I really enjoy my PIH doctors, all the ones that I have seen there, I've had a lot of stuff that's been going that has gone wrong with me and I've had to see a lot of different doctors. My wound, my heart, my feet, podiatrous, my knees, replacement. Well, anyway, I really, all my doctors have been very good doctors and very understanding and so like I said, I like my PIH doctors, all of them. So I wouldn't change and I'm very happy with them. So I always, I always, and they're very, they live ?

I'm 60, just about 67 years old and Dr. Boone is the best family physician I've ever had in my life. Listens, cares, pays attention to me and we've gotten good results. Thank you. Bye.

Doctor was very good and even asked me what is a number one priority that I'm looking for. I explained it to him and he explained items to me that can make me better. Explained all my medication to me. Explain my A1c to me. Great doctor first time seeing him I had another doctor before that retired, but Dr. Boone was the first time I liked him very much.

Dr. Boone was very caring, spent a lot of time with me going over all of my blood work, urinalysis, and just talking about my health in general. So very, very pleased with him and can't wait to see him again.

I am new patient to Dr. Boon yet he seemed to have had a 'handle" on my previous history.

The doctor was very patient, very thorough. He listened to me. He didn't rush me and he was very sympathetic to what I was dealing with. He took care of the problem.

Have sooner appointments when needed

Hi, I've been with Dr. Boone for a very long time. I'm a special case in that I have a lot of physical problems and emotional problems and PIH doesn't have a mental health anymore. So he's been giving me my antidepressants and he's also giving me referrals to get the psychological help that I need. I have PTSD, a victim of severe child abuse, so it's not just, you know, your normal little bit of sadness or sadness from being in pain. I'm emotionally and physically sometimes a lot and he's always so patient with me. He treats his patients with patience. It's a lot to deal with, but he does his best. Then there's been times I had to cancel appointments many times.

Finally a doctor whom is receptive and understanding MY particular brain injuries and other body and ill health ailments. THANK YOU

I hope I can get an appointment in a timely manner next time. I guess he is very busy this year.

It took about 5months to get an appointment, and i waited about 45min.. Sadly its the "norm" for all doctors not just Dr. Boon.. He is a great, staff was great but the wait to get an appoint is not great!

Dr. Boon is very thorough. He checks everything. He listens to you very carefully. He answers your questions if you have any questions. He has a very good bedside manner. I really appreciate his honesty when you ask him a question and he is very alert of all the things that are going on with me. So I really appreciate him and his staff. Very nice. Tony up front is very nice. And his nurse today, usually it's Violet, but there was a new one, but she was very courteous as well. So thank you for having great doctors in PIH. Thank you.

Dr Boon is worth the wait time. I never leave his office not knowing what I have wrong with me. His treatment plans are easy to understand and follow. He shows concern and compassion plus respect.

Good afternoon. My name is (PHI removed). I'm a patient of Dr. Boone, as we call him Dr. Boone, because his name is way too long to pronounce. But Dr. Boone is probably the best doctor in the entire PIH. I should know. I'm (age removed), and I've seen many doctors. He is simply the best.

I was feeling real bad and Dr. Boon explain to me and took care of me he always provides the best service.

Not my experience-at appointment but pih in general. Takes to long to get appointments. Patients had to wait for office to open since they had a sign on the door closed 12-1:00 every patient waiting were complaints about how long it took to get appointments. Ridiculous

Yes, I'm a survivor of traumatic brain injury and sometimes it's hard for me to express myself in a timely manner or people to follow me. I know my doctor is aware of it and is very patient and I thank him for that. But I feel if the hospital would give more time with people with disabilities, it would be greatly appreciated. I think that would be a better service. very difficult to get everything we needed to say, even though we maybe carry notes to express our needs and to discuss our concerns. Thank you very much.

Dr Boon was wonderful. He spent time listening to to what I had to say and explained what was happening. I really liked it that he wanted to not just mask the pain with medication but be able to get to the root problem to prevent further issues. In my 66 years, prior to the age of 63 I was only sick and missed work 5 times in 43 years of work. Dr Robert Boon...spent Quality time with me and listened. Really listened to my 3 recent illnesses. Listened and recommended, and acted quickly. Like I said this visit was through. Excellent advice and even took the time to listen. It was hard to get an appt within a 3 month span. Everything about my provider and staff is excellent! They are the reason I put up with the following issues I have. The problem with PIH lies firmly in the accounting and third parties running the patient financial aspects of this corporation. Receiving first time bills from a stay over a year ago. Me refusing and suddenly my insurance is billed and pays. If I had paid on receipt and then insurance paid, PIH would have had a double payment which is what I think happens very often. PIH is easily the worst financially run (for patient billing) "non-profit" I have ever experienced or heard of.

Dr. Boone, I like him because he's very trustworthy and I trust him explicitly. His staff is wonderful and he's trying to get me well and I'm stubborn at times, but he has a lot of patience with me and I'm grateful for that.

scheduled my yearly physical, My doctor basically said any other concerns other than what I was there for , needs to be addressed with another office visit. I shouldn't save all my concerns in 1 visit because he didn't have time to address and he gets overwhelmed? What doctor says this? I have been with PIH for over 40 years and have never felt my office visit was a waste of time. Very concerning.

Dr Boonyaputthikul is always willing to listen and discuss my concerns, he explains things in a way that I can understand, and gives me medical referrals as needed. An excellent doctor.

Through the years, I've seen many different providers at PIH (not just in Whittier but other locations as well). Dr. Boon is the best of the best. Nobody provides care like him and nobody has bedside manner like him. You can tell that he has a passion for what he does. I have other PIH locations much closer to me but I choose to go further just to see him. If Dr. Boon ever leaves PIH, I may consider leaving as well. PIH can't afford to lose another awesome provider. Both of my parents' providers left PIH and I have referred them to Dr. Boon.

Dr. Boon has been my family physician for many years, and I trust his judgment and care. He is knowledgeable, friendly, caring, and thorough. He takes time to really listen and explain issues and treatment. He is greatly appreciated.

Primary care is greatly impacted. Availability of appointments is nonexistent. I wanted to reschedule 8/7/25 appt so I could have EGD done, but would not be able to get another appt until 12/16/25 with Dr. Boon. Ridiculous.

One of my best dr. visit. It would have been helpful to know bloodwork was not possible downstairs. I would have scheduled the Quest appt down the road accordingly instead of taking time off again for a 2nd trip. Will be prepared next time. Other patients might benefit if they are aware. I had prepared and did not eat that day.

Dr.Boon is great. Doctor gives you the time and he always listen. Very kind. PIH is lucky to have him.

Dr. Boon is terrific. I have nothing to say negative about him. The only negativeness deals with the process that PIH does. Either they don't have enough doctors, because I used to be able to get in to talk to him or see him more often, and now it's just hit or miss. Call, call and try to get a cancellation to get in soon enough. And that's not his problem. It's P-I-H. P-I-H needs to fix this. Or they're going to go downhill.

It's ridiculous how long it takes to get an appoint with doctors here at PIH. I got this appointment because someone had canceled. Otherwise I would not have been able to see the doctor until September. This was a recheck visit which my PCP sent me a message that she wanted to see me. This appointment was not with my regular PCP,

The staff is great. Dr. Boon is so busy and completely booked but made time to see me. When he walked thru the door it was all about me. He made me feel like a matter, and feel understood. After suffering for more than 10yrs of fribomialgia he is finding ways to find out more. Aside from treating my anxiety and depression. He is a true doctor!!! Took too long for appt., I believe booked in 2/2025 first available was 6/23/25. Also I was booked at 10 am , I was on vacation and I came back that they switched my appt to 1:30pm (via text message, they never asked it was ok to wswitch time slot). So I needed to ask director to switch times and I needed to switch up my own schedule with my patients that I treat. But Dr Boon is a great MD and he really cares which ultimately makes a big difference! PIH needs to open more time slots and more providers, it s too impacted for appointments. My wife had skin cancer and initially they booked her 5 months out! I am a provider and knew it was skin cancer , so I needed to speak with office manager in derm who luckily listened and she was Dx with cancer but treated sooner because I was pro-active. Luckily I have dual insurance PIH appts are booked out typically 3-6 months, but with other insurance I can typically get a appt in 2-4 weeks which is a big difference.

Pleased I was able to make a same day appointment. Surprised that my regular physician (name removed) DIDN'T have any appointments FOR WEEKS! Know I could go to the Urgent Care Center BUT I liked to be seen by a regular physician for medical problems. Know for emergency I could be seen at the UCC. My reason to see the doctor that day was for MEDICAL REASONS.

He informs you of any change in lab work and tells you what the best approach there is to address any concerns. Frankly, Dr. Boon and his nursing staff, along with the receptionists are great.

Excellent doctor- professional, caring and listened to your concerns

Dr. Boon and his staff have treated me with the utmost respect, kindness, empathy on a timely matter. I never wait more than 10 minutes for him. He sits there, he listens to me, he acknowledges every little thing I say, and then he goes deeper and asks his questions like, when was the last time you felt that? And you know, I mean, he literally listens to me. First doctor in my life, I am 65 years old, that listens and sits and is concerned and then does something about it. Right away you have referrals. Right away he's like, let's do this, let's try that, let's, right away, right away he, I mean, I feel 100% taken care of in his care. I can't even say enough about this gentleman and his staff. Wow. The only issue i had with my visit to Dr. Boon was the use of acronyms and not understanding what they were when first used. The medical field uses an enormous amount of acronyms and they are confusing to a non-medical persons, such EKG or ECG as well as others.

Dr.Boon is awesome and very professional . I trust him and at 71 years old that is important to me. His staff is awesome as well.

It would be nice if you could see doctors when needed. I.e. if your sick and call in, there's no way to get appt within a day or two, it's months! And that's not acceptable....
