Dr Vu is the only physician thar I trust with my eye care

My appointment with Dr Vu was for dilation and a couple tests. Sign in was easy. Soon I was taken for the testing and dilation. Dr Vu then saw me. She gave the results of my exam and I made an appointment for four months. My visit with Dr Vu was as I expected. She is very thorough.

I kind of felt like I was rushed. She didn't really sit and listen to what I was saying. She was just giving kind of her own answers and just rushed through, opened the door and kind of hustled me out. So, anyway, I kind of felt like I needed her to actually listen to what I was saying. And I don't think that was happening. Thank you. Bye.

Always prompt and kind

Dr. Vu is fantastic and thorough. I feel very comfortable with her care. Her staff was supportive and professional. The wait time in the office was almost on time. Unfortunately, the time between making an appointment and seeing the doctor was unacceptable. I made the appointment in May and she wasn't available until November. Over 6 months is inappropriate and unreasonable. I even called numerous times to try to check for cancellations to no avail. This appears to be a more prevalent problem with PIH in recent years. This is not only an issue with specialists referrals but with primary doctors as well. The quality of the physicians is fantastic and there is not complaint there. For the first time, as a patient, I feel as if I'm just a number within the administration and no personal concern about prioritizing my or my families health.

Great office. (Name removed) got me checked in and started, and was friendly and polite and knowledgeable . Dr. Vu was awesome. I hadn't met her as Dr, (name removed)a had been my doctor. I'm switching over (love Dr. (name removed) as he is cutting down on office hours. Dr. Vu was thorough and wonderful. This is a great office and staff.

For other appointments , it takes too long to get appointment ..

Dr. Vu is the nicest person I've ever met, and the staff is really nice. And I think they changed my appointment, and I kind of wanted it like the way it was, but Dr. Vu is the best. So hopefully she knows that, and hopefully, all the staff knows that they're great over there. Okay, thank you.

Wait time in reception area was not as bad as last time much better than my last appt. Dr. Vu wanted to see me in 4 months but she is going to be out office. Earliest I could get is late April (6months). I was told if any problem to call & they would have me see another doctor.

Dr. Vu is very, very kind and she takes the time to explain everything to you. All the tests I took, she showed them to me so I could know exactly what she was talking about and she spoke to me. She dumbed it down so I can understand everything. In other words, she didn't, you know, try to go over my head with a bunch of jargon. She was very, very, very nice and very complete in her examination and I appreciate it. All the ladies and gentlemen that work at this office in La Harbor are extremely, are extremely kind, extremely knowledgeable, and they are very friendly and they pay attention to the patients. And I really like this office so ?

1st time meeting Dr Vu she was very kind , good listener, patience.Very carefully explaining my condition regarding my eyes. Told me she worked from another office closer to where I lived. So my next visit will definite be a shorter drive for me. Thank you?

Regarding getting an appointment - I have yearly checkups so I have to wait until the next year to get my yearly checkups. And I have to call six months before. Otherwise I always have a good experience.

Dr. Vu was very informative of her knowledge and assessments, attentive to my symptoms, and proactive in her followup communications.

Dr. Vu was prompt and efficient! I had three other tests before seeing Dr. Vu. See had a good analysis of my eye! When I saw her, she was pleasant and worried that my eye had gotten so bad after I was sent to a retina specialist! I told her, I was told my eye was still OK, and didn't have to be seen for another year! She was alarmed! She immediately told me what she could do! She could do a surgery to help my glycoma and a new retina doctor!

The only thing that I don't care for is the fact that you can't schedule a appointment a year in advance I come every August but I have to wait to call back in sometime in February - March to make the appointment for August.

This visit marked my initial experience at this office. Upon my arrival, I was met with sincere courtesy from the reception lady. Dr. Qui Vu possesses commendable interpersonal skills. She demonstrated attentiveness, engaged in active listening to my explanations, and articulated her descriptions of my health situation with clarity. It was evident that my inquiries were received with openness, and I found her responses to be quite satisfactory.

Dr. Vu explained all that needed to be explained and asked if I had questions. She wasn't rushed or try to hurry me.

Dr Vu explained how to use my new prescription & to keep up with my cleansing routine my numbers have improved due to her caring manner with me

We had a 15 minute wait to be called for the initial vision check and dilation. We waited another 30 minutes to be seen by Dr. Vu. This is the first time we have had to wait for more than 15 minutes. We loved the free parking. We loved handicap access bathrooms in the building.

Dr. Vu is an OUTSTANDING DOCTOR!!! She is always so patient and understanding and will explain everything until you completely get what she is talking about! One of the very best Drs. that PIH has on staff ! Can't say enough !!!!!!!!!

The entire visit went smoothly and everyone was helpful and considerate. Dr. Vu was extremely attentive and kept me advised of everything that she was going to do and freely answered my question and gave me in depth feedback for questions. I'll be seeing her in a year for a check up.

She was great, friendly, professional and thoroughly checked out all eye issues. Then scheduled a return visit in 3 weeks due to a couple of things she wanted to look into further. This was my 1s visit with her and I was impressed.

Yes, I just had to wait an extra hour, it seems, because I made a mistake in my appointment time. I came at two when my appointment was three, and we had to wait all that extra hour before they saw us. Otherwise, everything was fairly good.

The doctor was nice, but she went way too fast. I felt very rushed like she had to get me in and out to get to the next patient.

The doctor was very informative with the information that she gave me. After my appointment I had to make an appointment with the eye doctor for glasses. That appointment is not until the end of July. I will be looking elsewhere for my glasses. That part of the system sucks. The area was empty over there and should have someone there to take a person that needs to be seen for new updated glasses.

Dr. Vu is very personable and explains my vision issues to me in a manner that is understandable. Since my type 2 diabetes diagnosis in 2018 Dr. Vu has examined my vision for any damage. Fortunately my annual vision examination shows no damage related to my type 2 diabetes. Office staff are friendly and professional.

Well, I'm very concerned because the doctor was talking about me having glaucoma in my right eye when I have glaucoma in my left. He mentioned that I had basic surgery. I have not ever had basic surgery. And when I made my appointment in October, they said my eyes were going to be dilated and they were not dilated. And then the doctor did explain to me that it's only once a year. So I wasn't really happy once I left the office because I was given inaccurate information and I don't even know if my file is correct on all the information in regards to my left eye glaucoma. Thank you.

The doctor speaks WAY too fast.

I had been seeing Dr (name removed) but I was unable to get an appt with him since I was told he only comes in one day a week and probably retiring. So, I figured it was time to find another Ophthalmologist. Dr. Vu was ok but had a little attitude which I didn't expect from a dr. With the little conversation I had with her, she noted I didn't need to c her since I'm seeing Dr. (name removed) next month. I said I always c the Ophthalmologist for eye diseases and then the optician for new a new eyeglass prescription. She said "it's not necessary to c her; Dr (name removed) would refer me to her if there was a need. I only got her before him cause there was a cancellation....she's 4-5 mos. out" - what was that supposed to mean? I've always seen both - guess it was too much of a bother for her to c me or was she bragging that patients can't get to c her immediately cause she's special. I just won't go back to her next year. There is no need to call me. Nothing more to say!

The provider was very thorough. She's very professional. A very big problem, however, is getting an appointment. Having to wait so many weeks to see an optometrist or ophthalmologist makes you want to leave the plans. So, hopefully, appointments are in a timely manner, not having to wait three, four months. Really kind, caring, and considerate staff and team, from the moment I entered the office until I left. The medical assistant that worked with me (so sorry I don't remember her name) was very kind, easy to talk to, and skilled in explaining through everything in a calm, soft tone. Dr.Vu was amazing as well from start to finish. Super informed on everything and gave me a breakdown that was easy to understand. She answered all my questions before I even had a chance to ask them, and I appreciated how comforting she was throughout my examination. I look forward to seeing her again during my follow-up!

Great Doctor

It is frustrating as a patient to not get appointments sooner. Appointments are made few months in advance and if for any reason, you are unable to keep that appointment and need to reschedule, then a new one is pushed a few months out. I cannot imagine how busy the doctors at PIH are that there is no sooner appointments.
