Pleasant visit

Everyone was very friendly and they speak Spanish.

I am dealing with mental health right now, I'm just so tired of feeling sick and misunderstood, Dr Martinez did her best, and I appreciate the help with more test she ordered, otherwise she is a thorough Doctor and covers everything, I feel I'm having a breakdown, this issue was ignored, and my iron and vitamin D was thought to be the issue, which could be the answer, I hope so because all I do is cry I'm so depressed, I hate this feeling of doom!

I've been seeing Dr. Martinez as my primary for many years and I've always been very satisfied with my treatment.

Yes, my name is (PHI removed) and I thoroughly enjoyed meeting Dr. Martinez and her staff. They were very professional, met me in a timely manner, and Dr. Martinez was very thorough and very professional and I like her a lot. Thank you.

First of all, my cardiologist mentioned to this primary doctor, I told him, he said, who handles your diabetic medicine? And I told him Martinez. And then he said, oh, okay, I'm going to send her a note. And then she said, Martinez said, oh my God, he doesn't think I'm doing a great job because your sugar's out of control. I don't think that was appropriate. I really don't. And going forward, I don't want her speaking to my family because she scares them. All right. Thank you.

Better now that the EMR is working correctly and my information was not lost again

From the very beginning I selected Dr Martinez because she is a doctor who is direct. And nothing has changed she and I discuss my health which his excellent for a 74-year-old. However I do have issues from prior surgeries etc and or minor medical issues I've been dealing with most of my life. She addresses him she sets up tests ahead of time she makes recommendations if I follow her orders we start fixing things that I can't seem to get fixed anywhere else. But most importantly I am very educated about my body and what's wrong but so is she as I told her many things and we have discussed it and we as a team have fixed it. One of the best choices out of PIH I have ever made. Thank you

I've been coming to this office for many years. Staff and NPs/doctors are nice. As soon as I was placed in an exam room the medical assistant named (name removed) started off by telling me that I need to choose a provider as I have seen several of the providers in the past. I told her that I usually see (name removed) but since it's hard to get an appointment I usually just opt to see who I can see the soonest. Plus I mentioned that I was there only to get refills on my nifedipine. When Dr. Martinez came by she told me my refills had already been processed and the appointment was not necessary. This was a complete waste of time since whoever booked my appointment informed me I had to come in person to see the provider in order to get a med refill. I honestly felt like I was being scolded by the MA which is completely unnecessary. Also felt very rushed by Dr. (name removed). I started mentioning that I had not had a period in 7 months and she responded by saying I should see my gyn. I work as a Clinical Director at PIH and got to experience the patient side. It was very disappointing. The visit was a complete waste of time, MA was rude and I felt extremely rushed.

I waited a long time to be seen by the doctor, more than 45 minutes. They don't want to waste your time, they pile it up and the wait is very long.

This is a PIH problem not a doctor problem, you should not have to wait one, two or three months to get an appointment with a doctor. People used to be proud to say they went to PIH, but now I hear people complaining a lot about PIH and some leaving for other healthcare providers. I called on June 24 for an appointment and the soonest appointment available was August 14.

Dr.Martinez is one of the best doctors at PIH. She is easy to talk to and takes time to listen to me, she always explains things in a way I can understand.

I have been a long-term care patient of Dr. Martinez's for several years. Like I said, it's long-term. That didn't sound right. But anyway, she is outstanding. She is a good listener. She's thorough. She is just simply amazing, and I appreciate her. Thank you.

Came right on time, but I had to fill out a health questionnaire, which took a maximum of 2 minutes. I sat there till 11, till the nurse asked why I was so late. I said I had been there exactly at 10:40 am.

I was admitted in the PIH hospital and discharge. Very difficult to make appointments for follow-up. Discharge instructions see primary within a week on available to make Appointment I call office I got all kinds of hustles and no appointment. Somebody at the hospital scheduled the appointment for me sad looks like Kaiser extenders back on 1980-1990

I think Dr. Martinez is really good. This is the second time I've seen her. She explains, she listens. I'm very knowledgeable to what I have. So, just wanted to say that. Thanks.

I was hoping that they would take the blood and urine sample from the same location, I have to go to a different place for that and I found it very inconvenient. Other than that I did have a good experience with the doctor and nurses.

Yes, Norma Martinez was very, very respectful towards me. And she explained a lot of things. Because I was a bit upset because I couldn't get my own doctor. But she was just excellent as well. So I appreciate everything she did.

Dr.Martinez is amazing! Been seeing her almost 10 years now and due to life happening had not seen her in a couple of years but as soon as she saw I was re-establishing care, she knew exactly what we had to take care of and got me back on track. Staff was friendly and helpful as well.

It is very difficult to see this doctor in a timely manner.

Had to wait 2 months for a scheduled appt for yearly check up after my lab work. Doesn't seem okay to me. But I discussed it with Dr. Martinez.

My mother got a call from the patient concierge, I believe, and she was very helpful in scheduling a follow-up for my mother to get her stitches out and checking on if there was any other follow-up that needed to be done and let me know that a physical therapist who've been very good at a home health care nurse who they've also been very good would be colleagues.

I think there was an error in what I recommend the provider or how I would rate this provider. I would rate Dr. Martinez a 10. The staff was very friendly. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted with a hello. The office overall was clean and the provider was very attentive. I would definitely be recommending my family members to Dr. Martinez. Thank you.

No one asked me how much pain my right flank pain was causing. They didn't ask me about a scale of 1 to 10 or anything like that.

Dr. Martinez went above and beyond to accommodate me as I needed a quick surgical clearance. She squeezed me in and saw me at 8 a.m. on Friday. And her nurse, (name removed), was very helpful in assisting me with documents, reaching out to the surgeon, and even following up with me to make sure I had everything I needed. I want to make sure to commend her and the staff at Dr. Martinez's office for assisting me, but in particular (name removed). She has been very helpful and accommodating. Thank you.

Hello, this is (PHI removed). The staff was great and Dr. Martinez came rushing in and barely wanted to hear what I had to say. And I've never had such inadequate care from your facility. And I felt like I was a number to her. She couldn't even look at me in the eye. She just kept looking at the computer and typing things in. She was very abrupt. And I thought I would have an exam and instead the assistant comes in and tells me that the doctor's going to prescribe some medication. Never did the doctor tell me she's not going to examine me. She just rushed out. And I wasn't taking her time. I was just telling her what my problem was. But I was very disappointed at her bedside

Hi, when I was there, they tried to do an EKG on me and the machine malfunctioned. So I never did get one done. And, you know, I'm having some chest pains. I'm kind of concerned that the equipment there was not of high quality or was not being maintained. So that's my biggest problem. But as far as the doctor goes, I really enjoy seeing Dr. Martinez, and I think she's an awesome doctor. Thank you.

Everything was great. My only issue is the older receptionist that was there by herself early morning. She seemed like she did not want to be there and was not very helpful or courteous to other patients that arrived. Not a big deal to me but I can see it would be for others.

my primary doctor is my primary doctor for a reason. she listens and takes her time to her my concerns. Unlike this doctor. she rushed my appointment with no solutions only but an x-ray and pills to suffice the temporary fix to an injury. No referral to orthopedics. this appointment was a waste of time and I had to re-arrange my schedule for a doctor that didnt care for my health.

My visit was with Dr. Martinez. She's a very good doctor, very likable, professional, but very rushed. I feel so rushed. It's hard to, she cuts you off when you're speaking and she's in a hurry and it's been a couple of times already. So this time I forgot to mention one issue in which her assistant came and said, okay, you can bring that up next time. I wanted to address the issue then, but feeling so rushed and pressured, I forgot. So she needs to spread out her appointment time to allow her patients to express all their concerns. It's hard enough to get an appointment and I was lucky to get one right away, I feel, from past experience.

I have been seeing Dr. Norma Martinez for many years. She's always been my provider and I have a lot of trust in her. But this last visit, I felt that she was very rushed and I don't think it was any fault of her own, but she couldn't seem to be able to spend more time with me. So I think I'm just as valuable a client as any other person and I would have enjoyed being able to explain many more things to her.
