Dr. Maehara is a very good doctor. I saw him for the first time on January 5th and he's very compassionate and he really listened. He spent quality time with my visit. I was very, very impressed. He seems like a very, very wonderful man. Thank you.

This doctor was very thorough, patient. I didn't feel like I was rushing through everything. He didn't pass the buck. I think a lot of people need to be trained by someone that's professional, courteous. It made me feel like we're going to get through this, you know, because I don't know what's been going on for years, two or more, and I've just been passed from specialist to specialist, and then I don't get a response of what happened with my results or what, but he's going to get to the bottom, or at least that's how it felt. Very efficient, and again, as I say, thorough, but most importantly, I didn't feel like a drive-thru doctor, which is now everybody being that, you know, or wanting to give me medication. No, he said he had to figure out what it was before he could prescribe anything, which I really liked.

Well, the doctor is new to me. It's my first time, so I can't give him a 100% positive rating because I don't know. It's my first time seeing him. My first time in his office. Well, this time, he told me that the medication he was giving me wasn't for pain. Because I was having a lot of pain in my joints. And he prescribed it for the pain.

As my Sister suffers from a cognitive disorder due to the removal of a pituitary tumor two years ago, I have become her 24/7 Caregiver and manage all of her written reports and documents. She is however, able to comprehend concepts and conversations, and is able to sign her own consent forms. I submit this survey on her behalf. This was our first visit with Dr Maehara. Due to a very complicated medical history including autoimmune disorders, edema, and Sjögren's, Dr was EXTREMELY thorough in obtaining my medical background, especially prior medications and if there were any positive results. He also ordered a very comprehensive blood panel to be taken as well as a special spinal screening to determine if I may have existing fractures due to the falls I have had because of my mobility and balance issues. I suffer from a severe short term memory condition and depend heavily upon my Sister for daily care and information. She was very impressed by Dr Maehara and requested to be able to switch over to Dr's care as her current Rhumatologist is on an extended medical leave.

Doctor was very professional and knowledgeable and very courteous. So I'm very proud of him.

Yesterday I had my visit with Dr Maehara. He went over the results and changes in my dexascan. Because I had an extensive dental surgery in April that is not completed yet, changes had to be made that I normally have. I was given the paperwork for both X-rays and bloodwork. Also I will have physical therapy after my approval. He spent a lot of time with me noting the difficulties I now have and doing what will be needed to make my conditions better. It was a very productive visit.

I was seen by the doctor in a timely manner. He took the time to explain everything in my situation to me carefully. He answered my questions. He gave me a follow up plan to get more information to treat my condition. I was extremely pleased with my visit.

I felt as though the doctor was in a hurry when the doctor was seeing me, which kind of made me forget to ask him a question, and I called back. And they called me back with an answer, which was an answer but not with enough information. So for that, I kind of wasn't really sure that this doctor wanted to give me all the options that I was asking for.

Definitely has the ability to explain correctly anything in a detailed manner and shows interest for the illness or the disease or whatever that the patient has. Very grateful to have a doctor like Dr. (name removed).

Dr. Maehara listened to everything I had to say, took an accurate timeline of my disease progression, ordered needed meds, X-rays, and referrals for issues my previous rheumatologist ignored. I'm so happy someone is finally listening to me about some of the issues I've been dealing with and actively looking for solutions and answers. He spent time listening to me and didn't dismiss me. Monday appointment was the first time I had to wait for over 30 minutes before being taken to the exam room to be seen by Dr Maehara. Otherwise I loved seeing him and his insight on how we will manage my pain relief and future health care.

You really need to have more people able to take phone calls to make appointments. It's very frustrating having to wait forever to get someone to answer the phone to make an appointment.
