Disappointed to hear Dr. Scherschun is no longer going to be at this facility after the end of the year.

She is professional and somehow doesn't make you uncomfortable as you sit there basically naked!

This doctor is always on time and very professional. I also like the La Mirada office. There is no charge for parking and there is plenty of parking. The Putnam center charges and it's difficult to find parking.

My medical care was first rate, however the billing and payment issues from your business office were not acceptable. My last visit (Nov of 2025) resulted in my account being turned over to collection!! As soon as I received the collection notice, I paid the bill as I easily have the means to. In addition, insurance is in place for my account as well. I immediately called your business office to notify them and tell them I never received any billing from them. They told me that 3 bills were mailed to my home address, which is accurate in your system. Well, I never received any!! (my mailbox has been locked for years so no mail theft issues) Your portal did not show any balance owing or bills outstanding. Sincerely, (PHI removed)

I was seen even before my appointment. Everyone I dealt with was very courteous and professional. Dr. SCHERSCHUN was very thorough and efficient.

Love and trust Dr S.... But am concerned with difficulty making appointments for emergencies in the future. Any change of appointment is met with extremely long delays in setting another date and time due to her heavy schedule. I have been lucky that I have not had to see her for any emergencies or out of schedule routine appointments. But, I have also witnessed people at the counter, trying to make appointments that are 6 to 8 months out when they are in need of seeing a doctor as soon as possible Just an observation, but a very real concern for this senior citizen. As usual Dr. Scherschun was very upbeat while still remaining professional. My office visit is always at 7:30 am and she is always so pleasant and cheerful. At this early hour it is impressive. Her staff refelects this attitude. I am always seen right at my appointment time- never have to wait. (Name removed) always gives me my requested appointment time, which is important to me. I couldn't be happier with the treatment and care Dr. Schercshun and staff provide for me.

Friendly and knowledgeable doctor

She's terrific at getting rid of the AK spots on my face and searching my body for them. I very much appreciate that. She did a fabulous job of cutting off a new growth and I'm waiting to hear what the biopsy says about it. However, I had some sort of yeast infection which didn't get discussed with me and the medication that was selected isn't available and the pharmacy at PIH didn't explain to me clearly what I was supposed to do about the medication not being available. So I'm stuck with no treatment for some sort of yeast condition on my skin. The AKs were dealt with wonderfully and the mysterious growth on my shoulder was dealt with perfectly. I didn't feel any pain. I didn't even know she was cutting it off. My problem is I don't know what's up with the yeast infection and I don't have any medicine for it.

Hello, I really enjoy my visits with Dr. S. I can't really pronounce her full last name. She is awesome and her staff. Dr. Scherschum is an awesome dermatologist. She's like a friend and my doctor at the same time. We discuss everything that I need and she takes care of me in the very best possible way. I look forward for all my future visits with her, her staff, (name removed), that helps me tremendously with my scheduling. If I need something that needs urgency, (Name removed) somehow works it where he fits me in and I really appreciate the awesome service that I am receiving from my dermatology department. And again, all the staff, including the girls up in the front, including the girls in the back.

First, the nurse who works with this doctor is so unfriendly. It's very uncomfortable to be around him. I feel like more and more, this doctor rushes you through the visit and doesn't listen very carefully to you when you speak or have concerns. It's disappointing because years ago, she wasn't like that. Also, it's ridiculous and insane that the only 2 female dermatologists in the group don't work past 2:00 each day. All you have is a PA after 2:00 and that's not acceptable. Some people work and are not able to take time off for a (literally) 5 minute appointment. Those same people may not be comfortable with a male doctor. This should be revisited. Maybe more doctors should be added to the office because it shouldn't take 6 months to get an appointment with someone.

I find the office visit was a positive one although I did give the doctor the wrong prescription I was using I gave her an old one Edidele, I should've said Vtama. ?

She's friendly, she's knowledgeable, she engages if necessary with even small talk. I trust her fully. I mean, I think she's a great doctor and I recommended her to my husband who needs a new dermatologist or to anybody else. So, yeah, I mean, she's quick, but I know that your department's having trouble keeping enough dermatologists there. So I understand why she, you know, moves quickly and I appreciate that, actually. I appreciate how thorough and honest the doctor is. She doesn't judge, but she does provide recommendations in an appropriate manner. I have already recommended her to many, and those who have become her patients are just as happy as I am!

I see her every 6 to 12 months. I love her and her staff. She is ALWAYS on time and if I'm early, I'm always taken in and seen right then. I'm in and out of her office in under 20 minutes.

I was able to get into my appointment within two days, which is awesome and amazing. Two different people tried calling me to schedule me when they realized there was an opening, so that was awesome. Doctor is amazing per usual. She knew what I needed and what I needed to do. So that was amazing. And thank you guys.

On the last question, I don't know what the range was, but I've the lowest rating about recommending Dr. SCHERSCHUN, and I would rather have it registered that I push the best rating, whatever that was. She's one of the best doctors out of the five that I have.

I had to pay $5 for four extra minutes. That was outrageous. I'm 97. I can only walk so fast. I have to take the elevator to the fifth floor. I have been seeing this dermatologist now for several years. Dr. Schershun is a very professional, courteous, friendly, and gentle doctor. Dermatology procedures, especially on the face, can be uncomfortable. Nevertheless, Dr. Schershun always takes care to make sure that I am not experiencing any pain during the biopsies or other procedures she performs. In fact, I was pleasantly surprised the first time she had to cauterize a biopsy wound that I did not experience any pain. The dermatologist I went to before used a cauterizer that hurt no matter how much local anesthetic he used. The PIH dermatologists all use one that is much better. I would definitely recommend Dr. Schershun to my friends and family. In fact, one of my best friends also goes to her.

As a senior citizen, (like a lot of senior citizens) I do have hearing issues and wear hearing aids. It's helpful for the doctors and nurses to look at us when speaking especially if the doctor or nurse is wearing a mask and to not speak too fast. I know their time is limited and they're very busy, but it would actually help us to not have to ask them to repeat what they said. I'm referring to all doctors and medical staff not just any one doctor or staff member in particular. Just a suggestion.

I scheduled this appointment last year for my annual skin check, and the provider spent exactly five minutes with me. Even if someone has 50 years of experience, I don't believe a thorough skin check can be completed in such a short time. I've noticed over the last three years that she always seems to be in a rush, and I don't feel that she truly listens to her patients. Unfortunately, this will be the last year I see her, as I don't believe a skin check-or any annual visit-should be conducted in just five minutes.

Getting an appointment for a routine checkup isn't possible unless you tell the scheduler you want a blemish/bump checked for cancer. Dr. (name removed) left about a year ago and I finally got an appointment! Please hire a replacement for her.

Dr Scherschun is the best. She aggressively treats my skin cancers and pre cancers. She is both professional in her care as well as having an excellent "bedside" manner. Highly recommend.

Takes months to schedule an appointment which I assume is because the office is busy, but when I arrived I was the only patient there. Throughout my whole visit I did not see any other patients. I was surprised by this. Other than that, my experience as a whole was pleasant and quick.
