I have to wait 1/2 hour to see Dr Nguyen BUT!!!! It was worth it. I'd wait again because everything about him and his office staff were professional. This was my first time seeing him and I would totally recommend him. I would have waited an hour if I had to. Dr Nguyen his staff were that great

Waited an hour to see him and needed to get to another appointment

Dr. Kenneth Nguyen has been my podiatrist for five years, six years now. When I came to him, other people wanted to amputate my foot. Dr. Nguyen said, no, I can fix it. And he did. And he fixed so many other mistakes from other physicians, not from PIH, but from a different Kaiser. Dr. Nguyen is one of the most amazing doctors I've ever been to in my entire life. I'm a 70-year-old man. I've been to a lot of damn doctors. And he is just the greatest in the world. He should be like the head of doctors at PIH. He just is an awesome, awesome guy and a great doctor. So whatever you need, if you need me to say that on TV, I'll do that. Like I said,

Dr. Nguyen really listens to the issues that we're having with our feet and he explains what's going on and what we might do to remedy the situation. He takes care of our feet but he also gives us information so that we can be proactive and take care of our feet when we don't have a visit with him. So I really appreciate that.

Only thing the nurse is out for maternity leave so next visit is at PIH

Dr. Nguyen is excellent. I don't know how he does it. He mentioned that he had 40 patients to see yesterday. That's a huge workload!! Hopefully the nurse on maternity leave will be able to return sooner rather than later....

My insurance will not pay to have me come often enough for my nails to be cut.

Dr. Wygen is a very nice doctor, he shows genuine concern for his patients I was helped immediately with a steroid injection that helped me with the pain I was in, he's great, I would recommend him to family and friends.

I waited over an hour just to see the doctor. At least 30 minutes before I even got in there and 30 minutes after I got back. He saw me for exactly less than five minutes and didn't answer any of my questions.

Very good visit

It's ridiculous that I can't call the office directly and that I have to go through a call center. It's absolutely ridiculous that I had to wait six weeks for an appointment just to get MRI results. It felt like the doctor had not reviewed my chart or results before I walked in the door. The results have been in the office for five or six weeks and it wasn't until I was there. I was told that the MRI imaging center had not provided the actual images on a disc, they had only provided a fax. I then had to go to the imaging center myself and request a copy of a desk and then take it to the office. I saw the doctor in Whittier. He told me I could take the CD with the images to the La Mirada office because it was closer to my house. I did that and when I dropped it off, I was told that the La Mirada office has no way in which two upload the images. I explained that the doctor told me I could drop them off there, and they did accept them, but I don't know when I will hear anything from the doctor about these results. PIH has really gone downhill in terms of the way they interact and treat their patients. It is really disappointing and sad that they have changed in the way they have. I am seriously considering changing medical groups.

The doctor experience was very good as it always is. However, the ability to get follow up appointments when wanted is always a challenge. More often than not, the doctor is completely booked for the designated 8 week visit. Very frustrating.

The male tech with black rimmed glasses was very friendly and very professional. He made you feel comfortable and cared about what you said. Dr. Nguyen was terrific. Explained everything simple and listed several options.

It seems to me that every time I encounter the front office, there's always some type of conversation going on between the employees, which is fine if there isn't a line of patients needing to be checked in. But when there's a line and people are waiting, then I would think that that would be the priority. And if you're fully focused on registering or checking in the patient, then the line would probably go faster than if you're having kind of side conversations with other employees. Other than that, I love the provider, which is why I don't switch. The doctors are amazing so far. Thank you.

Dr. Nguyen is very interested in his patients and very meticulous during his surgeries and post op care.

Dr. Nguyen is a superior doctor. Because of him my right foot pain has improved; I have double arches, plantar faciitius, bone spur, arthritis and was in extreme debilitating pain in the past. My foot has improved! Andrew at Dr. Nguyen's La Mirada office is so helpful with ordering my orthotics. I appreciate him too.

Dr Nguyen is kind, understanding, patient and has a sense of humor. My only complaint is the receptionist at the front desk. I've mentioned this before and nothing has been done. Her desk is so disrespectful to the Dr and so extremely covered with her personal effects and cluttered. Very unprofessional and sad.

Every visit I have gets the same high marks. When I was briefly hospitalized a few yeasn ago, for the original problem, the PIH house doctor said to see Dr. Nguyen; he's the best there is. In my opinion he was spot on!

Doctor was excellent. We had no complaint with the doctor. However, I believe it's his nurse or the nurse, whoever walked us in, we thought it was the nurse. She brought us to the room, pointed to the examination chair, said, sit there, take off your socks and shoes, and left. The footrest was out. (PHI removed), who's 78 with Parkinson's, was unsure how to get on the chair because of the footrest that was out. I had to help him. I thought this was careless and dangerous of the nurse because (PHI removed) could have easily fallen out or slipped off and then that would have been a problem for the hospital if he had fallen and gotten hurt. Then after doctor's examination was wonderful. He's excellent. When he left, I was helping (PHI removed) put on his socks and shoes. The nurse walked in and she said, you can leave now. I said, I will. We will one-

I was very impressed with Dr. Nguyen. A soft-spoken, nice gentleman who gave me a lot of time, explained my situation calmly and clearly and was a good listener. (PHI removed) in his office was lovely as was (name removed) at the front desk upon check-in. Overall, a great experience and I'm very appreciative of finding a doctor who will provide great care. My toenails are NOW, jagged & not smooth at all. I am disappointed! In 2013 I went to a nail salon, not a medical, with dangerous affects! I am a diabetic & my toes were infected. I was really concerned & I decided to only use medical means to have my nails done by a real medical doctor!

Dr. Nguyen is an extremely respectful and excellent provider that makes me feel like he's listening when I speak and when I visit and I truly appreciate him.

Dr Nguyen is wonderful. However, the call center for his office cancelled 2 appointments in a 4 week time frame for unknown reasons. Thankfully, on Tuesday 12/30/25 (name removed), in the office, was able to get Alex in on Wednesday 12/31/25.

Whenever I see Dr. NGUYEN , he's very professional, very, very, excuse me, very receptive to my concerns and explains to them in a way that I understand and always has, whenever I have questions, he always answer them. He is great. I've been seeing him since last year or maybe a little bit more than that, but probably a year and a half and I've been very, very pleased with his with his work that he's done and the surgery. And if I have any concerns, he's always there to listen and make the appropriate referrals as needed. And the staff has been very professional, and they have a very good demeanor. I was very, very satisfied with Dr. Nguyen. And he's a podiatrist and he explained everything. He even asked me if I had any more questions. He was very, very thorough. I'm very happy going to him. And I went to the La Mirada location because that worked for me at the moment. But like I say, everyone there was very helpful. It wasn't like he waited forever and very thorough. I'm very, very satisfied. And I will go back every six months to have my feet checked for calluses. So like I say, I trust him very much. Very, very happy. So that's it.

Very efficient

Dr Nguyen is extremely kind and patient. His front office was not friendly (two women, words removed) were rude and unfriendly considering I am a new patient, drove 1.5 hours to get there, and my text confirmation had me at 10:30am, and they said my appt was at 11am. I arrived at 10:05 am. I asked if I should leave and come back and the one woman just kept repeating, you are checked in. She did not say the answer to my question. I was not called in by (name removed) until 10:55 am. Both (name removed) and the other female medical assistant were very nice. If my experience with Dr. Nguyen was not as good as it was, I would never come back to this office. Too bad for him, as HE is obviously very qualified and has true doctor manners.

The wait was long but I am 100% okay with that because I know Dr. Nguyen is spending the time needed for each one of his patients and providing excellent care. It is very difficult to schedule appointments with this Dr., or many Dr.s in your practice, including Rheumatology and Dermatology.

The main problem is every time I go for my annual visit with Dr Nguyen I have wait 2 to 3 hrs. My appointment was 11:30 am I Was not taken in till 2:00 pm They don't take me in at time of my appointment they are taking other patients before me. Why? Because I have Medicare only. I am not Hmo!. I have severe pvd due diabetic severe neuropathy and lumbar issues then I am get tired because unfortunately I am a Peritoneal dialysis patient as well. By the time they take me in I numb from waist down with pain I have trouble walking. Because amputation of right big toe other feet issues I have no balance which makes difficult for me to walk back to my truck and drive home once doctor finishes seeing me because. Staff over pact office with patients don't even apologize for the wait. I know I am not the only patient but this happens all the time. Because I know Dr Nguyen is excellent doctor but why does his staff do this to me if they give me a date and time and do not follow through with my time of visit.

Trying to make an appointment with this provider took me a very long time on the phone. I was on the phone for at least 20 minutes trying to make an appointment. Also, the appointment time, it took months before I could see this provider. Also, the staff, when I went to check in and check out the reception area, the staff, receptionists need to be trained better. They're very rude and very impatient. and not courteous at all. They need to be trained better. Thank you.
