Katrine Zhiroff MD is a board-certified interventional cardiologist specializing in heart disease in women, coronary artery disease, coronary artery angioplasty and stenting, peripheral vascular disease and heart failure. After graduating Summa Cum Laude from UCLA and receiving a doctorate in medicine from the UC San Diego, she completed both an internship and residency at Los Angeles County - Harbor UCLA Medical Center. She later participated in a subspecialty fellowship in cardiovascular disease as well as an additional fellowship in interventional cardiology through Harbor UCLA and PIH Health Good Samaritan Hospital, receiving a ‘Fellow of the Year’ teaching award. As a professional, Dr. Zhiroff values the importance of understanding patients’ challenges to provide them with the best treatment.

“Cardiology is a specialty that ranges from preventative medicine to emergency life-saving procedures for patients,” explains Dr. Zhiroff. “As a cardiologist, I have the privilege of forming long-lasting bonds with my patients as I help them manage their chronic condition.”

In her free time, Dr. Zhiroff enjoys hiking and skiing with her family as well as traveling internationally to support women entrepreneurs in the developing world.

This was my first appt. With Dr. Zhiroff and it went well. She is professional, knowledgeable, pleasant and personable. She looks at you when listening and speaking you, which is very important to me. Her staff is also pleasant and professional. And lastly, the office and exam rooms are very clean and well maintained.

Dr. Zhiroff has taken very good care of me since I was in the hospital. She's listening to me. She's changed my medication for the better. She's always there. I'm so happy to see her. I did have to wait a bit this time, but that was well worth the wait. Her staff are amazing. All the nurses are so kind to me. I feel very good about going there. I look forward to going to my appointments.

She great doctor. She listened to my health issues asking how it started. Its been my longest years and nothing was done with my health issues before all same things, I'm not feeling good , like I'm dying. I'm glad finally I made it with my appointment. She really focused to patients symptoms ,and cares for them. She order stuffs to properly diagnose me . I recommend Dr. K. Zhiroff . She's young and beautiful. DR.Zhiroff and her nurses and staff are very polite, friendly and helpful every time I come from my appointment they're very welcoming they're never rude that's what I like about Dr Zhiroff and her nurses and staff and DR Zhiroff is warm and welcoming she'll make you feel intimidated she make you feel comfortable and I like her and she has a good bedside manner and very respectful and she give you her honest opinion and I like that! And you can tell she likes what she does and she care about her patients and that's cool so I recommend her to anybody who wants to see a good cardiologist because she is the best and like I said she's great at what she does! And as long as I've been going there she never stared me wrong!

Yeah, I think it was great. Once I was able to get an appointment initially, everything was great. My doctor, she was fantastic. She listened to what I had to say. She provided specific details on different options that I had and gave me her advice on what she thought I should do, but also at the same time gave me the opportunity to make my own decision. Everybody was very helpful. The staff, when I first came in there, were very helpful. I didn't wait very long. Overall, it was a great experience. The doctor, she just made me feel like she knew what she was talking about and very knowledgeable. She respected what I knew about the situation. Great experience. Thank you.

The Dr. Is awesome and the nursing staff as well. The front desk can use some customer service training. I don't think it's entirely the reception staff fault. I feel they may be understaffed and the don't have the tools to provide the appropriate level of service.

All in all, it was a great experience. She's a really good doctor, I like her. I had another cardiologist before, and I really like her attention to detail, her patience, and she kinda shows that she does care about her patients. So I would recommend her, definitely. Staff does not listen at front. Hurrying a disabled person is intolerable. Your front desk is not ADA. You need a checking where patient can sit to talk to the front desk staff person. All of them are sitting. No doors in office are automatic.

Dr. Zhiroff gets it. She is very compassionate and empathetic. From day one, I have always felt comfortable talking with her about my concerns and she has my best interests at heart. It's not "my way or the highway" with her. She is willing to entertain alternatives when prescribing medication and she is conservative with my treatment plan. I have never felt rushed or dismissed during my visits with her. Dr. Zhiroff is one of the best cardiologists I've seen; she has been a good choice for me so far.
