Dr. Rounaghi has very good bedside manners and explains very good all the questions that I had.

When I first get to the fourth floor the sign in moves quickly. I never wait very long before being called into the room. The person leading me to the room is always friendly. Dr. Rounaghi always comes in with a smile on his face. This helps me to feel comfortable. We talk for a minute and then he explains what he's going to do. I was there for a Cortisone injection in both of my knees. I showed him where I had marked the spot where it was hurting me with a little dot. He then explained to me how the injection would cover the whole area, so I really don't need to mark them. He was so kind telling me. I didn't feel foolish for doing it. He offered to help me get off the table, but I was able to do it myself. He told me I could make an appointment for another injection in three months. The receptionist asked if I had a particular time I liked and she made my appointment. From the time I walked in until the time I left everyone was very nice and helpful. I have already referred someone with knee problems to Dr. Rounaghi.

Dr. Rounaghi is a wonderful specialist and I see several specialists for my conditions caused by a fall 20 years ago and broke so many bones that I can feel in my body and I have lost 100 pounds in the last few months and am now 80 years old. I am allergic to so many drugs including NSAIDS and Morphine and Codeine But Dr. Rounaghi gives me a refill when I need Methylprednisolone and gives me 3 trigger injections in both knees every 3 months. Dr (name removed) (pain management specialist) gives me lumbar epidurals every few months and they're both great as are my other specialists!

When i was first seen at urgent care and the next day getting a cast on my broken leg I was sent home with NO aid to be able to walk and I was instructed not to walk on that leg. no crutches, no knee scooter. Dr Rounaghi was extremely polite and very reassuring regarding my particular physical health concerns. I definitely like him a lot and appreciate his honesty and kindness. Should I need surgery, he definitely will be the doctor I choose.

I'm surprised it takes so long to get an appointment to see a specialist. Takes three to four months to get seen when referred. Also, when I see my primary care and I will get a call a few weeks later with the results of what I went in for. Sounds like a receptionist calls me and reads off a script unfortunately, they can't answer additional questions related to the diagnosis or treatment. Maybe the doctor should do the calling.

Nursing staff and Lm down the line were courageous and helpful

This was the first time at a PIH facility. From the moment I walked in, I was treated with respect and kindness. All staff members were top rate and very kind! Staff appeared to work well together and I was seen a little earlier than my appointment time as I arrived early. Saw the MD soon afterwards, had X-rays and the MD discussed findings and treatment plan. So efficient, no delays, and I was in and out, completing everything required in such an efficient way. The Md listened to my concerns and gave me time to ask questions, never feeling rushed. An excellent experience.

My wait time from checking in to be called into see the doctor was exactly one hour . I believe the wait time should not be more than 30/45 minutes . Once I was in the room , doctor came in 5 min after and my concerns were taken very seriously and handled to my satisfaction . I have recommended this doctor to many people who were looking for a good orthopedic doctor . I am happy to say they all took my recommendation and they are all very pleased with him .

I would just like to mention that the staff who makes appointments should be more friendly and improve their tone of voice when attending to patients and not raise their voice when the patient speaks Spanish, not discriminate against the patient as an employee did with me at the beginning and that is why I looked for another person to attend to me and she was very kind.

Hi, yes, I would like to leave the feedback that it seems that PIH itself doesn't have enough personnel. And I mean that from, well, I don't know about janitors, but certainly not enough people responding to the phone. Sometimes spend hours waiting for a receptionist to answer the phone. And not enough doctors. Sometimes it takes a couple of months to see someone that you need to see. fairly quickly. Anyway, that's my main complaint and why I'll be looking for other places. I'm gonna change my insurance and principal physician out of the PIH system in November and we'll start looking for alternatives.

As soon as I walked in, I got greeted right away and got my information. I sat down maybe for a minute, and they called me right back in. The young lady that escorted me to my room, the exam room, went into the doctor's, very pleasant, smiling. The whole office seemed like it was a great environment. And then the doctor came in, and even he was cool, right? Most doctors are dismissive, or they want to get to the point so they can get out of there. but not this talk, right? First time I met him and he listened to my story, he listened to all my stuff and he laughed and he was genuinely like involved. So that's what I wanted to say. Great office, great doctor.

All was excellent, but I needed to make a decision on my knee. The following day I saw Dr Amir, I called and spoke to Alfred on the phone asking him to pass on my decision to Dr Amir to go back and get the treatment, I still haven't heard back from the Doctor's Office. All of the staff members were friendly and outgoing. Even the folks in the waiting room and elevator were fun to chat with. PIH is a nice place to be. I've only lived here at 19 months and all of my encounters with the breast care center, physical therapist, and doctors have been delightful. The facility is immaculately clean.

I loved my doctor

When Dr. Rounaghi came into the room, he introduced himself. He had already looked over the disk with the xrays of my knees. He asked me questions regarding my knees. He explained the choices I have for the condition of my knees and told me that the choice was up to me. I had questions for him and he answered them in a way that I was not only able to understand, but also able to make a decision on which treatment to have done. After telling him I think I'd like to try Physical Therapy before doing anything else, he agreed that it would be a good place to start. I asked if I could go to PIH in La Mirada for therapy and he gave me an authorization for there or PIH at the hospital. I really appreciate Dr. Rounaghi's mannerism, making me feel comfortable and not scared of the situation, taking the time to explain my options and listening to my concerns. If anyone would ask me if I could recommend an Orthopedic doctor, It would definitely be him.

Dr Amir was very professional and patient. He was very straight forward in explaining the problem I have with my knee. He answered all my questions. He called me to let me know about my lab results. I really appreciated that because not every doctor takes the time to do that. Dr Amir is an amazing surgeon.

The doctor wrote me a new prescription and sent it to the pharmacy, but there was an error on the prescription and the pharmacy couldn't fill it. The pharmacy called his office three times trying to get approval on that prescription. No call was ever returned. I didn't know about it until late Friday night. I called the office Saturday morning and spoke to whoever was on call. He said he would try to take care of it. The pharmacy never got a call from anybody about my prescription. No help whatsoever.

How you can mostly improve is by having patients understand that they have to get their own wheelchair and their bedding and their bed and asking for help in a timely manner so that it's not taking so long for them to suffer. That is the biggest thing that one must do and it comes from you guys, all of you listening, but nothing was getting done. And I need your help in that to help other patients become better patients for you.
