Ahl Jeffrey Caseja MD is an endocrinologist specializing in diabetes, thyroid, adrenal gland, metabolism, and osteoporosis. After his residency in internal medicine at the UNLV School of Medicine, he continued his training in endocrinology at the Sunrise Health MountainView Hospital in Las Vegas. 

Dr. Caseja chose endocrinology because it requires a comprehensive understanding of physiology and biochemistry, combined with objective interpretation of labs with clinical symptoms. Growing up, he had witnessed family members suffer with diabetes which motivated him to go into this field. Endocrinology is rapidly evolving and he has an opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of patients while building life-long relationships. Dr. Caseja always tries to ensure that his patients’ questions and concerns are addressed during their visits.

Dr. Caseja served as chief resident at UNLV and has received the UNLV Residency Teaching Award, the Endocrine Society Early Career Forum Award and the American College of Physicians Young Achiever Award. In his personal time, Dr. Caseja enjoys traveling.

On behalf of myself, Dr. Carseja is an excellent endocrinologist. He has helped regulate my diabetes and my other health concerns. He's been on top of everything that I need. He's an extremely, extremely smart doctor and knows what he's talking about. I recommend him to anybody, my family members or friends. If it wasn't for Dr. Carseja, I wouldn't know where I would be with my health. He's like I said, he's extremely knowledgeable and very, very good at communication skills and good bedside manners. And his crew there at the clinic, they're all team players. So I would highly recommend this office and Dr. Carseja and his whole crew there for being extremely caring and understand all my medical needs. Again, thank you very much for having people like Dr. Carseja take care of people's health like mine and other people that go and visit him too.

At my recent visit, I actually walked into the wrong office site. I called the office and said I would be about 15 minutes late. I was so gratified to be able to be seen despite my tardiness. All of the staff were very kind, from the reception to the doctor and the nurses.

First of all, the staff is excellent-very attentive-and the doctor or student who saw me before the main doctor was very kind, listened to me, and explained things very well. In contrast, the doctor seemed to be in a hurry to leave. When I asked him to repeat things, he said, "You have the portal; it will be written there." I told him, "I'm sorry, it's just a lot of information," and I really meant it because all of this is new to me. Also, every time he asked me questions about my primary doctor and the surgeon, he would say, "What kind of doctor is that?"-and that didn't make me feel good. In a prof way he shouldn't talk about other Doctors

I was due to get my 2nd Prolia injection and they did not have the injection at the time of my appointment. This is not the first time this has happened and is extremely unprofessional. I have a 30 minute commute to the office so a phone call to reschedule would have been nice.

Yes, one of the things that I noticed, I've been with PIH and endocrinology for a number of years and my last endocrinologist, Dr. (name removed) was wonderful and she's no longer there. And one thing she always did was she always examined me. She always checked my thyroid area and she always listened to my heart and lungs. But I noticed that Dr. Caseja doesn't do that. So I'm just curious, is it just a doctor thing? It depends on the doctor. They're very friendly and I have no problems with that. But I just always felt that that would be important because Dr. (name removed) found my heart murmur when she examined me several years back. So anyway, thank you.

I was supposed to get copies of my lab work, for my primary physician, but wasn't given them, I thought I got them, but it was new orders for new lab work. I have asked for them before and wasn't given them. My primary doctor needs them too. They were supposed to send them last year also, but never sent them. That frustrates me..

Dr. Caseja was very good. He was punctual. He had a good bedside manner. He was informative. He explained the process as far as like how injections go, the dosage goes up and by how much each month. He explained how to take the injection in case I'm gonna proceed with the treatment. And he was all around very informative and I really appreciated the time that he spent with me. I look forward to seeing him again if I decide to proceed with this treatment. Thank you very much, Dr. Caseja.

It was extremely hard to get a hold of somebody to schedule an appointment. When I finally did, I was able to get an appointment quickly, but just the actual number of times somebody answered the phone was hard.

This doctor needs to learn how to talk to his clients, respect them, and pay attention to their needs as a whole person. He needs to get classes on how to deal with people. Very terrible experience. Wouldn't recommend him, wouldn't go, never want to go, and I filed a complaint on this provider. Terrible, terrible experience.

I was very unhappy with the doctor's ability to understand what I was trying to say. He did not value my input. It's my body and I've had diabetes for quite a long time and I know exactly what, I know exactly what I, you know, what's bothering me, but he didn't want to hear anything I had to say. He was staring at me, but you could tell he wasn't listening. I had another individual in the room with me and the feeling that I got, he also got, and that was my husband. The nursing staff, (two names removed), are absolutely wonderful and that is the only reason I would ever recommend this doctor's office for my care because what he doesn't do, his two nurses try to do.

Usually, a doctor checks me, checks the thyroid, checks the heart, checks the eyes, checks the lungs, but this last time he didn't do anything. He just sat there. We talked and he told me things that we were going to do, but didn't check me. And I think that's something that they should always be doing.

I gave him a 9 on two separate things. It's because I don't really like to refer people to my doctors. Everybody has different opinions. For me, he's very nice. Yes, I would definitely - well, he's been my doctor for a couple of years, but, you know, you just - I don't know. I just don't like to refer. So that's it.
